Michael Lozovsky

My research domain is planetary astrophysics. I study formation, evolution and internal structure of planets in the Solar System and beyond. My research includes both statistical studies of a population of observed extra-solar planets (exoplanets) and mathematical modeling of physical processes that formed planetary bodies in our planetary system and others. Among some key questions my research addresses are: What are the physical processes that form and shape the planets? How does the planetary structure and composition depend on it's birth environment? What can we learn about compositions of exoplanets from observations? What evolution path can lead to the planetary internal structures and compositions we find today?
